Jai Rowell was elected to the NSW Parliament as the Member for Wollondilly in 2011.
Jai is a passionate advocate for infrastructure in Wollondilly. Over the past four years Jai and the Baird Government has delivered sewerage connections to towns across Wollondilly, better facilities and support for Rural Fire Service volunteers, as well as ensuring the pristine environment is protected for generations to come.
has a strong track record of fighting for the community’s best interests when it comes to mining and CSG in sensitive areas and led the charge against CSG in water catchment areas. The government recently announced the successful buy back of a CSG exploration licence that covers most of the Wollondilly Shire.
After graduating from the University of Western Sydney Macarthur with a Bachelor of Laws, Jai worked in both the private and public sectors, including as an advisor in the Howard Government.
Jai is an active and supportive member of the community and is patron of a number of local groups within Wollondilly.
Jai lives in Wollondilly with his wife and two boys.
