Minutes from State Council 30 August 1945

On 30 August 1945 the NSW Division's constitution was formally adopted at State Council.

Technically it was the third State Council meeting, but it is the most historic in terms of the Party's history.

Howard Beale presented the constitution at the meeting on behalf of State Executive. He was a lawyer, who became the Federal Member for Parramatta in 1946, and a Cabinet Minister in the Menzies Government.

On 31 August 1945 the Liberal Party of Australia was officially launched at Sydney Town Hall by Robert Menzies & Federal President, T. Malcolm Ritchie.
