Jonathan O’Dea

Member for Davidson

Speaker

Jonathan was elected Member for Davidson in 2007 and earlier in this term he was the Parliamentary Secretary for Major Events and Tourism Trade and Investment, having served in Parliament’s last term as Chair of the Public Accounts Committee.

In January 2017 he was appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier and Treasurer.

He holds two Masters degrees (in Business Administration and Law), two Bachelor degrees (in Arts and Law) and two Diplomas (in Legal Practice and Mastering the Boardroom).

As a former senior businessman, company director, lawyer, local councillor and statutory officeholder, Jonathan understands the importance of managing better outcomes for our economic health, environment and essential public services. His appreciation of other issues facing our society is also enhanced through involvement with local church, school, sporting, charity and community groups.

Jonathan’s primary focus is on people, including the importance of individual freedom, personal initiative and encouraging individuals to realise their potential in both a personal and community sense.

A life-long resident of Northern Sydney, Jonathan lives with his wife Jacqueline and their four children in Lindfield.
