Our Plan For Kiama

 LOCKING IN OUR STRONG ECONOMY

  • Keeping the NSW budget in surplus, so we can continue to invest record funding in the things that matter most.
  • Ensuring our local community in Kiama gets its fair share of our strong economy.
  • Creating more full time jobs across NSW and funding 150,000 free apprenticeships and traineeships so more young people can get a start.

 TAKING THE PRESSURE OFF FAMILIES

  • Providing the services our community needs to make day-to-day life easier.
  • Doubling the Active Kids voucher to two $100 vouchers to reduce the cost of living.
  • Lowering energy bills by providing solar and battery systems for 300,000 households with no-interest loans and no up-front costs.

 FIXING OUR TRANSPORT SYSTEM

  • Investing $90 billion in new infrastructure, including $630 million for the Albion Park Rail Bypass.
  • Taking the pressure off motorists by driving down the cost of green slips and fixing blackspots on local roads.
  • Making your commute easier by delivering more services, investing in new trains and carriages, and upgrading the line between Kiama and Bomaderry.

INVESTING MORE THAN EVER IN HEALTH

  • Delivering record health funding, so there is help at hand when you need it most.
  • Recruiting an extra 8,300 doctors, nurses and health professionals, including over 440 for our local area.
  • Building new and upgraded hospitals and health facilities, including a $434 million major upgrade of Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital.‚Äč

 SUPPORTING OUR SCHOOLS AND TEACHERS

  • Hiring an extra 4,600 new teachers so that our children are getting the education and attention they need to get the best start in life.
  • Investing $3.15 million to clear the maintenance backlog for every public school in our area and providing air conditioning at Albion Park High School, Albion Park Rail Public School, Bomaderry High School, Illaroo Road Public School, Mount Terry Public School and Tullimbar Public School.
