Chris moved to Camden in 1984. After finishing his schooling, he managed his families’ hospitality business for over 20 years. During this time Chris studied to gain his qualifications in hospitality management and shared his passion for this field teaching hospitality at TAFE for a number of years.
Chris joined Camden Council as an Elected representative in 2000. He became Deputy Mayor in 2003. In 2006 Chris was elected Mayor, a position he held until resigning after being elected to State Parliament in 2011.
Through Chris’ business involvement and his time on Council he has had the privilege of sponsoring and supporting numerous community groups, sporting groups and schools in the local area.
Chris and his wife Vicki are the very proud parents of four children – Amelia, Sophie, Thomas and Matthew.
Chris was re-elected to Parliament in March 2015. Chris is currently the Government Whip and has been the Chairperson of the Legislative Assembly Committee on Environment and Regulation, a Member of the Standing Orders and Procedure Committee and a Member of the Standing Committee on Parliamentary Privilege and Ethics.
In January 2017, Chris was appointed Government Whip.
