About Fiona

Fiona became the first female Member for Reid in 2019. Her connection to the community goes back to her school days, where she first attended Santa Sabina College and then Rosebank College.

Fiona and her family reside in Reid, along with her extended family.

Prior to entering Parliament, Fiona worked as an Educational and Developmental Psychologist, academic researcher and small businesswoman.

In 2006, Fiona founded her own psychology practice. She has helped clients of all ages with a variety of conditions. She is passionate about using her broad clinical experience to contribute to mental health policy.

In 2007, Fiona completed her Ph.D., which focused on improving the social functioning of young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder. She has previously served as an expert consultant and ambassador for a variety of organisations including Only About Children, SafeWork NSW, Little Blue Dinosaur Foundation and Life Education. This has made her a strong advocate for improving education and disability services for all Australians.

After running a successful small business for 13 years, Fiona understands the challenges business owners face and recognises that they are the backbone of Australia’s economy. Fiona will support policies that encourage hard work and enterprise, and will be a voice for the more than 28,000 businesses in Reid.

Fiona believes it is a privilege to represent one of the most multicultural seats in Australia. Her paternal grandparents migrated from Greece, and like many residents in the area, she is proud of her family’s migrant history.

As your Federal Member, she will work to support small business, health, education and the most vulnerable members of our community.
