About Reid

The electorate of Reid is located in the inner-western suburbs of Sydney and is one of the most vibrant, multicultural electorates in our state. It is a beautiful electorate to live in, to do business in or to visit. Its bustling urban setting is balanced by stunning waterfronts and green spaces.

Our area holds a number of heritage-listed sites as well, with Victorian and Federation style buildings, such as Burwood’s St Pauls Anglican Church and St Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church in Burwood. The North Strathfield shopping village is home to the historic Bakehouse Quarter, which once housed the former Arnotts biscuit factory. It is now a bustling village of stores, cafes and restaurants serving food from all corners of the world.

Residents have their pick of various leisure activities. The iconic Drummoyne Bay Run, Bi-Centennital Park or Rhodes Foreshore walk are all popular choices, but the list is endless. Reid has been put on the world map by its first-rate entertainment and sporting facilities at Sydney Olympic Park. International music artists, world renowned athletes and the Royal Easter Show are right on our doorstep.
