• The Government is delivering a Budget surplus for the first time in more than a decade.
• We are building a stronger economy by backing small business, lowering taxes to reward hard work, boosting exports and building infrastructure.

 MORE JOBS 

• The Liberals’ 2013 pledge for 1 million jobs in five years was delivered ahead of schedule.
• Last financial year, for the first time, over 100,000 young Australians found a job.
• With a stronger economy, our commitment is for 1.25 million more jobs in five years.

 LOWER TAXES 

• Our plan rewards and encourages hard work and helps families to get ahead.
• From 1 July, over 10 million workers will get tax benefits of up to $1,080. After five years, 94% of taxpayers will pay a top rate of 30% or less.
• We’re also providing an Energy Assistance Payment for over 5 million Australians.

 SMALL BUSINESS & STRONGER COMMUNITIES 

• Backing over 16,000 local small and medium businesses with tax relief to support local jobs.
• Investing in local community groups to support those who serve us.
• Our tax relief benefits 3.4 million businesses employing over 7 million Australians. This will help small businesses get ahead and create jobs.
• We’re extending the Instant Asset Write-Off (already accessed by over 350,000 small businesses). This helps small businesses invest in the machinery and equipment they need to grow.

 BETTER ROADS AND RAIL  

• Investing in the Princes Highway and new Nowra Bridge to get you home sooner and safer.
• To ease congestion in cities and unlock the potential of our regions, we are investing a record $100 billion in infrastructure over a decade.
• This includes major highway upgrades, congestion busting roads, commuter car parking, better local roads, urban rail, inland rail and faster rail between regional centres and major cities.

 A SECURE AUSTRALIA 

• We’re building our defence capability with new ships, systems, aircraft, weapons and vehicles.
• We’ve fixed Labor’s border security failure.
• We have cancelled the visas of 4,200 serious criminals – including murderers, rapists, child sex offenders, armed robbers and drug dealers.

 BETTER SCHOOLS AND HOSPITALS 

• Funding increases for all 42 government schools in Gilmore over the next decade.
• Our funding agreements guarantee an extra $31 billion for hospitals over five years and an extra $37 billion for schools over the decade.
• Medicare funding is guaranteed and the GP bulk billing rate is 86% (higher than under Labor).
• Over 2,000 new life-changing medicines have been listed on the PBS, making them affordable.

 OUR ENVIRONMENT 

• We are building Snowy 2.0 and backing Tasmania’s Battery of the Nation. These projects will help deliver reliable, renewable power to millions of homes and thousands of jobs.
• Our Climate Solutions Fund will help farmers, small businesses and Indigenous communities reduce emissions and lower energy costs.
