Minutes from the first meeting of State Council

The first NSW Liberal Party State Council was held in Sydney on 28 June 1945. More than 200 delegates from 331 branches attended the historic meeting, with delegates voting on the makeup of the NSW Liberal Party State Executive.

Robert Menzies also gave a special address at the historic meeting.

He detailed the Party's origins, before paying tribute to W.H. Spooner, who served as Chairman of the Provisional Executive for the Division.
