Owen Laffin

Owen Laffin is your Liberal Candidate for the Blue Mountains at the 2019 State Election.

A local living in Springwood, Owen is passionate about a better future for local communities in the Blue Mountains and wants to ensure that our area remains a place of opportunities and support for local families.

Owen’s great-grandfather moved to the Blue Mountains after returning from the First World War and his great-grandmother was an AIF nurse, who served in Lemnos. Their record of service has always inspired Owen, and taught him the importance of family and giving back to the local community.

As a high school teacher, Owen knows that providing a quality education is essential to ensure the next generation have the skills and opportunities to get ahead, and Owen has seen firsthand the benefits of the Liberal Government’s investments in local schools and TAFE.

Now Owen wants to use his passion and experience as part of Gladys Berejiklian’s Liberal Team, to be a strong local voice to get things done for the Blue Mountains.
