Delivering for Eden kids

Saturday, 27 June 2020
Eden kids will get a brand new inclusive play space, with the Morrison Government delivering $400,000 for the project.

Liberal candidate for Eden-Monaro, Dr Fiona Kotvojs, said the funding means that local kids with and without disabilities will have a place to play together and socialise.

“During the 2019 election campaign I was told by local families that the closest all abilities playground was 30 minutes’ drive in Merimbula, and I was able to deliver a commitment from the Morrison Government to get a playground for Eden.

All abilities playgrounds encourage outdoor play, and help to improve kids’ physical and mental health, as well as social skills.

“Funding for the first inclusive playground in Eden shows how important it is to have a strong voice representing the community in Government,” said Dr Kotvojs. “I only promise what I can deliver, and deliver what I promise.”

“If elected, I will continue to listen to the local community, and help to ensure that Eden-Monaro parents, carers and kids have a strong voice speaking on their behalf in Government.”
