Meet Sarah Richards

Sarah Richards is your Liberal candidate for Macquarie.

Having lived in the Hawkesbury for over 25 years, Sarah is deeply committed to serving our community as a local Councillor and volunteer.

She grew up in Bligh Park before moving to RAAF Base Richmond, where she served as a RAAF Cadet.

Sarah’s parents instilled the value of hard work at a young age, and from this she studied at the University of Western Sydney graduating with law & journalism degrees before completing her internship at the Hawkesbury

Gazette. Sarah has also practiced as a Solicitor specialising in personal injury and helped run and manage a local small business.

Living in Windsor, Sarah is raising her three children, Jasmine, Lucy and Max.

Serving Our Community

Sarah has a proven record of fighting for our region. As a Councillor on Hawkesbury City Council, she has fought to secure funding for the Third Crossing of the Hawkesbury River and to protect the beauty of the Hawkesbury and the Blue Mountains.

Sarah’s passion for community service extends beyond local council, and she knows how to work with local groups to achieve positive results.

She is a Director at the Windsor RSL, Secretary for the Hawkesbury Torch Bearers for Legacy, a member of the Hawkesbury Hospital Community Board of Advice and she supports our local tourism industry on the Hawkesbury Visitor Economic Advisory Board.

Listening & Acting

As a mother, Sarah understands the day-to-day pressures that local families are under. As part of the Morrison Liberal Team, she will work hard so that more people can benefit from Australia’s strong economy.
Locally she will support families by:
  • guaranteeing essential services
  • delivering record investment in schools, health services and hospitals
  • protecting our natural environment
  • lowering cost of living pressures through tax relief and affordable and reliable energy.
Sarah is backing more than 15,000 local businesses, who provide employment opportunities and services for our community.
