Sharma & Council for Jewish Community Security Secure Essential Safety Upgrades

Thursday, 11 October 2018
Dave Sharma, Liberal Candidate for Wentworth has today welcomed an announcement from the Federal Liberal Government that up to $2.2 million will be provided for critical local security upgrades.
President of the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies Lesli Berger said that this investment was urgent, and thanked Dave Sharma for his efforts in securing this funding.
“The cost of improving the community’s CCTV system – much of which has been rendered ineffective over time, leaving community members exposed to unacceptable security risks - is more than our community can bear.”
Mr Sharma highlighted that today’s announcement was yet another example of how having a strong economy delivers practical benefits for local communities.

“As I’ve been listening to this community, I’ve heard about the importance of security systems such as these, which help protect and maintain our local quality of life.”

“I’m standing for Wentworth because I want to continue working with local community organisations, to ensure that we can address these serious issues and improve the lives of all residents.”

“Only with a stronger economy can we ensure a secure future here in Wentworth and across Australia”
Further information regarding the details of today’s announcement will be made in due course.
