A Dutton Liberal Government will commit $1.5 million for upgrades at Hammondville Oval – home to the Moorebank Sports Soccer Club, the Moorebank Sports Netball Club, and the Moorebank Rams Rugby League Football Club.

This commitment includes the following upgrades:

Football - $500,000 to upgrade Field No. 2 to FIFA standard synthetic pitch, for field lighting and storage upgrades as well as the installation of women’s change facilities.

Netball - $500,000 to the install a new amenities facility, improved lighting and CCTV around the training courts.

Rugby League - $500,000 to the install women’s change facilities as well as a canteen and the storage upgrade.

Federal Member for Hughes, Jenny Ware MP, said these commitments recognise the booming popularity of local sport – particularly among young women and girls.

“These upgrades will only encourage our aspiring Matildas, Diamonds and Jillaroos, to take up and continue to play the sports they love.”

“This commitment would not have been possible were it not for the tireless club volunteers and families of players for signing my petition to fight for these upgrades.”

This commitment is part of the Liberals’ plan to get Australia back on track.
